Threatened and Endangered Species of the River
March 23 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

The third installment in our Missouri River Series will cover threatened and endangered (T&E) species of the Missouri River. These species benefit from special protections under the Endangered Species Act as their populations are in peril. We are pleased to host biologists from the US Fish and Wildlife Service who will discuss the ecology, status and conservation of the Missouri River’s most threatened species. Learn about the process by which USFWS lists species and what that means for their management and recovery. Species discussed will include Piping Plover, Interior Least Tern and Pallid Sturgeon. Join MRBO as we profile some of these rare creatures! Register at the web link below!
