Prairie Days at Dunn Ranch

September 15 @ 8:00 pm - September 16 @ 4:00 pm

The Missouri Department of Conservation in partnership with The Nature Conservancy is hosting a Prairie Day event at Dunn Ranch on the evening of September 15th  and all day the 16thth.  Friday night will feature the movie, “Great Plains: America’s Lingering Wild” projected on the side of our large white barn here at Dunn Ranch.
Saturday morning will start off with a prairie bird walk starting at 6:30am.  Our regular festivities for the day will begin at 9am and conclude at 4pm.  Programs will be offered throughout the day and will include such things as prairie plant ID, reptile and amphibians, mammals of the prairie, prairie headwater streams, pollinators, and bison tours.  This year’s event was scheduled to coincide with the annual monarch migration here at Dunn Ranch.  Visitors should witness thousands of monarchs taking advantage of the nectar resources at Dunn Ranch.

MRBO Staff will have a fun and informational booth at this event! Come join us!
