It has been our great fortune to have many volunteers assist us at the Grand Pass Conservation Area banding station, on the prairie MAPS project, and at various community events.

Anyone of any age or profession is welcome to volunteer their time to assist in our mission and share the love for birds.

Throughout 2010 and 2011, several volunteers were trained in mist-net operation and extraction. These committed folks were able to gain experience and confidence and now regularly handle birds, making them a critical part of our monitoring opration.

You can volunteer in any MRBO program, even without getting up before dawn. Take a look at our projects, community, and education sections and you may find a way to help us that is just right for you.
